Moonpaper Tent

Moonpaper tent is the name of a small drama/art studio in Seattle. Each year they host an 'unhaunted house' that is suitable for small children. It looked really interesting on the website so I decided to part with the 30 bucks so M and Z could take part. The only tickets available were for 7 p.m., which is usually bath time for us, but I figured that as M and Z have skipped only maybe 5 days for bath since they were born we'd probably be okay. The BFF's came along too to share in all the crazy fun. The children were asked to wear their costumes. Max and Miles have both said they wanted to be Fire fighters for a long time. Zoe and GiGi were in full princess mode. Zoe has 4 princess dresses but the yellow one is winning out at the moment.

The idea of the night was a visit to Mr. Mgizmo because he wanted to share his latest invention. When we arrived there was face painting and imaginative play. Then the children got to make a magical monocle before going on the journey to meet Mr. Mgizmo.

There were a lot people dressed in crazy costumes with strange eye pieces. There was a 'cat' with a blue wig, a dancer from a musical box and a note for Mr.Mgizmo that had to be delivered. It was all a bit overwhelming I thought with the costumes and the lights, but the kids bought into it and seemed really into it. They have never done anything like that before and it was fun to try something new.

And of course we had to go to Peaks ice cream to round out our special evening.
