Everybody loves a parade

The day after Thanksgiving dawned bright and fair. We had plans to make it downtown to the annual holiday parade which started at 9 a.m. As M and Z still think 6 a.m. is a normal time to get up getting places in the morning is usually not a problem. We parked down at the Seattle center and rode the Monorail to downtown. This took a lot longer than planned as the christmas train set was already set up in center house and M and Z were hard to drag away. Shannon and Chris and the BFF's had very kindly saved us a spot (thanks again!) right at the start of the parade route so luckily we were still able to have a good view.

All the kiddos loved the parade and Zoe and GiGi were almost hysterical over all the princesses they saw. My favorite were the St. Bernards that pulled the sleds. The Old English sheep dogs were also very cute, but a bit whiffy.

After the parade we checked out the Festival of lights at the children's museum and had fun in the art room.

I am really looking forward to all the fun things to do with M and Z this holiday season. They are already into the "Happy Holidays" and love all the lights up around the neighborhood. Here's hoping that Christmas is more fun than Thanksgiving!
